Windows has announced that its new licensing policy for the Windows Vista operating system (OS) will only allow customers to transfer the OS Vista license once for a machine different from the one for which the OS was originally bought. This means that if the user rebuilds or upgrades his computer more than once during the Vista operating system lifetime then he will have to purchase a new copy of the OS.
