A: By default in Vista there is no run command box on the start menu. What you need to do is adjust the proprities of the start menu to make it appear. When the start menu is open click anywhere on it and go to "Propreties" > "Customize" and scroll down untill you see "Run Command" which by default is unchecked, go ahead and check this box and hit ok. Now you have your run command back!
